Adrian Bermeo is a New York City—born, Puerto Rican—Ecuadorian painter. Bermeo’s gestural works examine human behavior, inherited experiences, and the ways people navigate relationships with one another. His imagery combines abstract-figuration, cultural and folkloric references, and layered materials, including coffee grounds, and obscured text—an extention of his informal influences in graffiti. Bermeo’s recent exhibitions include Ankhlave Arts Alliance, Governors Island (2026); LIC-A Arts (2026); The Bronx Museum of the Arts (2025); Elm Foundation (2024); ProArts (2024); and 17 Frost Gallery (2023). Alongside his painting, Bermeo has facilitated workshops and public programs with Flushing Town Hall (2025); MoMA (2023); and has curated exhibitions with Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (2025/24); All Street NYC (2023); and Local Project Art Space (2022).
