💈An Underground Art Exhibition Inside One of The most Iconic Barbershops In NYC💈

As a statement of praise and promise to our city, multiple NYC based visual artists combine different narratives towards an overall declaration as to what is Unique New York in a dialogue for the artists' interpretations to their favorite parts in a city we call home. In Unique New York, the 30+ artworks echo joys, as well as frustrations, towards what we wish to never see diminish or die within our ever-changing metropolis. This exhibition will run from August 26th to September 16 2022 at the iconic Astor Place Hairstylists for a speakeasy experience downstairs into a New York time capsule.

Special Thanks to manager and artist Michael Saviello of Astor Place Hairstylists and all the amazing creatives of this exhibition.

IMPERFECTIONS

LOCAL PROJECT ART SPACE | MAY 2022

A duo exhibition facing realities and raising awareness on mental health

As artists continue to illustrate and confront brutal truths in our world since before and after 2020’s harsh realities, there has been a noticeable spike in awareness and accessibility of mental health services in New York City and beyond.  Although art therapy can be viewed to activate mental well-being and positive affirmations, this duo exhibition of contemporary works dive into personal thoughts and ideas on the benefits or taboos in one seeking mental health.  Is therapy a welcomed or foreign practice to you?  How do you meditate and work through personal issues?  Selected artists are presenting their thoughts into this dialogue as we hope to continue our revival from prevalent or subtle traumas that may still need addressing in this fast paced society.

“From an artists’ mind, creating to affect change in ourselves and those around us is something we flawed humans do naturally.  I’m under the belief that once you embrace what brings joy into your life, no matter the scale, many great things can follow”.  - Curator Adrian Bermeo

COULD BE A DUCK

IVY HOUSE STUDIOS | MARCH 2022

A Group Exhibition In Reflection To Nature’s Response After Covid19

As we continue to reintegrate with our surroundings in a post-pandemic society, this collective of contemporary pieces by a range of established artists and styles showcase our relationships towards the natural world after a moment of pause due to covid shutdowns.

Can there be a lesson for humans after witnessing how the Earth and it’s creatures have healed, adapted and survived during 2020’s pandemic?  The goal is to offer perspective towards a future in a shared experience within humanity and our ecosystem.  The messages might have been right in front of us all along.
